You can learn Flip 7 in five minutes and play it for years. This last lesson is about getting more games in: online when no one is around, in a real tournament if you want one, and at public game nights and home brackets, where a game built for a crowd is at its best.
Play online
Board Game Arena has Flip 7 in your browser, and the publisher links to it from its product page. Board Game Arena lists the game as available since May 2025.
Online play is the fastest way to build a feel for the odds. You see dozens of rounds in an evening, and the numbers from lesson 4 start to feel like instinct: when a lone 12 is fine, when a row of four is too much, when to keep pushing for seven. Try counting out loud, even alone. It sticks faster.
The World Boardgaming Championships
The World Boardgaming Championships (WBC) is a yearly tournament convention in Pennsylvania where many games each crown a champion. In 2026, Flip 7 ran there as a trial event, marked as welcoming to beginning players.
From the 2026 event preview:
- Single elimination, one-hour rounds. An open first round, then a semifinal and a final.
- Open seating in round one. Players who brought a copy set up a table after signing in, and others joined until the table had five or six.
- Assigned tables after that, seated quickly as earlier tables finished.
- Bring a copy if you have one. The event asked for it.
Matt Reidy won the 2026 event, per the WBC results. WBC 2027 runs July 24 to August 1, 2027. Trial events have to earn their place, so check the event list before you plan a trip around Flip 7.
Official organized play
The publisher’s news and events page does not list an official Flip 7 championship, league, or store program.
Find a public game night
Flip 7 is one of the easiest games to bring to an open game night: one small deck, a five-minute teach, and room for anyone who wanders over.
- Your local game store. Many run open game nights. The publisher’s where to buy page includes a store locator.
- Libraries, cafes, and community centers. Our guide to finding a board game night near you covers where to look and what to expect.
- Indianapolis. Our weekly guide to public game nights in Indianapolis lists where to play now. And join the Indianapolis list for first word on local learn-to-play nights as The Ludarium grows.
Run a Flip 7 bracket at home
You do not need a convention to run a tournament. The WBC format scales down to a living room or an office party.
- Set up tables of four to six, each with its own deck and a scorekeeper.
- Play to 200 at every table. The winner of each table moves on.
- Finish with one final table of table winners. If you have more than six winners, add a semifinal round first.
- Keep the official rules, including the tie rule: if the top score is tied, everyone at that table plays another round.
A bracket gives a big group a shared story, and the final table always draws a crowd. For the bigger picture, see our guides on how to host a game night and how to start a game night group.
Practice like a competitor
If you want to get better, not just play more:
- Count every flip. Say your bust count before each hit until you do it without thinking.
- Watch the set-aside pile. It is the one piece of information most players ignore.
- Name your target late in the game. Lesson 9’s habit of working out the number you need wins more races than any lucky flip.
- Review your busts. Was it bad luck, or did the math say stay?
The end of the course
You can now play Flip 7, teach it in five minutes, avoid the first-game traps, count your odds, play your modifiers, aim every action card, track the deck, chase the bonus only when it pays, run the endgame, beat the solo challenge, survive With a Vengeance, and find a table. The rest is rounds. The game is the reason. The people around the table are the point.
