TCG Release Calendar 2026 to 2027: Magic, Pokémon, Lorcana, One Piece and More

This TCG release calendar lists every confirmed trading card game set from November 2026 through spring 2027, with release dates and prerelease windows for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Disney Lorcana, the One Piece Card Game, Riftbound, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Star Wars: Unlimited. We checked every date against the publisher’s own site wherever the publisher posts it, and we note the few places we could not. Anything the publisher has named but not dated is marked “announced, date TBA.”

The quick answer: the next three weeks are busy. Pokémon’s Mega Evolution Delta Reign lands November 6, Magic’s Star Trek set lands November 13 (prereleases November 6 to 12), and the One Piece Card Game’s OP-18 lands November 20. Early 2027 then stacks up fast: Riftbound Legacy on January 29, Yu-Gi-Oh!‘s Immortal Phoenix on January 29, Magic’s Nauctis: The Sunken Realm on February 5, and Lorcana’s Into the Inkdark on February 12.

TCG release calendar at a glance

Here is every dated release in the window, in order. Dates are North American street dates unless noted.

Publishers change dates. If you are planning a trip to a store or a preorder around one of these, check the official page linked in the Sources at the end.

What is a prerelease, and why does the date matter?

A prerelease is a store event where you play with a new set before it hits shelves. Most games run it the same way: you buy a kit at the store, open the packs, build a deck from only what you opened, and play a few casual rounds. Nobody brings a prebuilt deck, so a brand-new player and a ten-year veteran start from the same pile of cards.

That makes the prerelease the single best on-ramp in the hobby. It is also the event that sells out first. Each game names it differently:

• Magic: Prerelease, the week before release. Six packs, a 40-card deck.
• Pokémon: Prerelease tournaments, built around the Build & Battle Box.
• Lorcana: Prerelease, usually one week before the set goes everywhere.
• Riftbound: Pre-Rift, the week before launch.
• One Piece Card Game: Store pre-release and release events, which vary by store.
• Yu-Gi-Oh!: Official Tournament Stores often get a booster set a couple of days before everyone else.

MTG release schedule: Magic: The Gathering

The most recent Magic set is Reality Fracture , which released October 2, 2026, after prereleases from September 25 to October 1. Next up is the Star Trek Universes Beyond set in November, then the first set of 2027.

Wizards of the Coast has said 2027 will have six sets, alternating between three Magic Multiverse sets (Nauctis, Kamigawa: Titanbreach and Zhalfir, which closes the year on October 1, 2027) and three Universes Beyond crossovers. If the pattern holds, one Universes Beyond set should land between Nauctis in February and Kamigawa in June. Wizards has not named or dated any of the three yet.

For Star Trek, stores can also run Commander Party events from November 20 to 26 and Friday Night Magic every Friday from November 13 through late January, according to the Wizards Play Network schedule.

Pokémon TCG release dates

The Pokémon TCG is in its Mega Evolution Series. The most recent English release is the 30th Celebration set, which arrived September 16, 2026, to mark the game’s 30th anniversary. Before that came Pitch Black on July 17.

Mega Evolution Delta Reign centers on Mega Rayquaza ex, with Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex alongside it. It reaches the Pokémon TCG Live app one day early, on November 5. Prerelease tournaments began October 24 at participating stores, and the same day select Play! Pokémon stores started selling the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box : four booster packs, a ready-to-play 40-card deck, and a foil promo.

The Pokémon Company has not announced its first English expansion of 2027. Fan sites have floated names and dates, but none are official yet. It usually reveals a set a few months before launch, and we will add it here when it is official.

Lorcana release dates

Disney Lorcana’s newest set is Hyperia City , its 14th, which had prereleases from October 16 and went everywhere on October 23, 2026. Some older articles still show conflicting dates for this set; the official Disney Lorcana site lists October 16 and October 23.

Into the Inkdark is a villains set, and it is the first set with Collector Boosters, sold through Ravensburger Play Hub stores and select Disney locations. Cosmic Quest was shown at D23 in August with a spring 2027 window but no date.

Ravensburger also announced a digital version of Lorcana for desktop and mobile, with no release date yet. Our Lorcana course covers the game from your first quest.

One Piece Card Game release dates

Bandai’s English schedule runs roughly one main booster every three months, plus extra boosters and starter decks in between. The most recent main booster is OP-17, The World’s Strongest Warriors, which had pre-release events from August 21 and released August 28, 2026. The most recent product of any kind is the extra booster EB-05, ONE PIECE Heroines Edition vol.2, released October 30.

OP-18 The Dominance of God is the headline. Bandai’s official products page lists November 20 for the English release. Store pre-release events usually come the week before, but Bandai had not posted the window when we checked, so ask your local store. The two starter decks show December 18 (ST-37) and December 19 (ST-38) on the official products page; both are good first purchases for a new player.

Riftbound release dates

Riot Games publishes the roadmap for its League of Legends card game well in advance, which makes it an easy game to plan around.

Radiance is Riftbound’s fifth set. Legacy is the sixth, and previews start at Convergence Fest, December 13 to 15. The Reckoning is the seventh. Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition is a refreshed starter product, which makes February a natural month to bring a friend in. Riot has also scheduled two more sets for later in 2027, one in the third quarter and one in the fourth, with names and dates to come.

Yu-Gi-Oh! release dates

Yu-Gi-Oh! releases more products than any other game on this list. The table sticks to booster products from the official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG site. The most recent booster is Beyond the Brave, released October 9, 2026.

Immortal Phoenix is the first booster set of 2027, with 100 cards built around Marik’s Sun God monsters. Magnificent Maestros is a premium box rather than a core set, with reimagined cards of anime characters’ monsters and new support for Toon, Witchcrafter and Unchained decks.

Star Wars: Unlimited release dates

Fantasy Flight Games’ Star Wars card game releases several sets a year. The most recent main set is Homeworlds, the ninth, released October 9, 2026. The official site’s Homeworlds page did not show a date when we checked, so that date comes from Fantasy Flight’s announcement as reported by retailers and press.

Icons 2027 Edition is a mini-set of more than 190 cards built around famous characters. Its Starter Box has Darth Vader and Leia Organa decks for two players and teaches deck building as you go. If you have never tried it, our guide on how to play Star Wars: Unlimited walks through a full turn.

How do you use a TCG release calendar well?

A few habits make the calendar useful instead of stressful.

Call your store two weeks out. Prerelease seats are limited, and many stores sell them in advance. Ask about the date, the start time, and what the entry includes.

Pick one game per season. Four big releases land between January 29 and February 12. Trying to chase all of them is how a hobby turns into a budget problem. Choose the game your friends play.

Use starter products as your entry point. If you are new, the best weeks to start are the ones with a starter deck or entry product: One Piece’s December starter decks, Star Wars: Unlimited’s Icons in November, or Riftbound’s Proving Grounds in February.

Remember the people. A release week is the busiest week at most game stores. That means more players, more open seats at casual tables, and the easiest time all season to meet your local group.

When does the next Pokémon TCG set come out?

Mega Evolution Delta Reign releases November 6, 2026, with prereleases starting October 24 and a Pokémon TCG Live release on November 5. The first English set of 2027 has not been announced yet.

What is the MTG release schedule for early 2027?

Nauctis: The Sunken Realm releases February 5, 2027, with prereleases expected the week before. Kamigawa: Titanbreach follows on June 4. A Universes Beyond set is expected between them, but Wizards has not named or dated it.

When is the next Lorcana set?

Into the Inkdark has prereleases on February 5, 2027 and releases everywhere on February 12, 2027. Cosmic Quest is announced for spring 2027 with no date yet.

What are the next One Piece Card Game release dates?

OP-18 The Dominance of God releases November 20, 2026 in English. Two starter decks, ST-37 and ST-38, follow in December. OP-19 has not been announced.

When is the next Riftbound set?

Legacy, Riftbound’s sixth set, releases January 29, 2027, with Pre-Rift events from January 22 to 28. The Reckoning follows on April 30, 2027.
